CHKB-CPT1B

Description

The CHKB-CPT1B (CHKB-CPT1B readthrough (NMD candidate)) is a ncRNA gene located on chromosome 22.

The CHKB-CPT1B gene is a fusion gene that results from the rearrangement of the CHKB and CPT1B genes. It is associated with the development of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The CHKB-CPT1B fusion protein is thought to contribute to HCC development by promoting cell proliferation and inhibiting apoptosis. It is also involved in the regulation of lipid metabolism.
