CDIP1

Description

The CDIP1 (cell death inducing p53 target 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.

CDIP1 plays a critical role in apoptosis, acting as an effector of the p53 tumor suppressor protein. It is specifically involved in regulating cell death triggered by TNF-alpha, a key inflammatory cytokine, in a manner dependent on the presence of p53.

CDIP1 is also known as C16orf5, CDIP, I1, LITAFL.
