CDHR4

Description

The CDHR4 (cadherin related family member 4) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

CDHR4, also known as Cadherin-like protein 29, is a calcium-dependent cell adhesion protein that plays a role in cell-cell interactions. Like other cadherins, CDHR4 preferentially binds to itself (homophilic binding) to connect cells. This property suggests that CDHR4 could contribute to the organization and sorting of different cell types within tissues.

CDHR4 is also known as CDH29, PRO34300.
