CDC42SE1

Description

The CDC42SE1 (CDC42 small effector 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

CDC42SE1 plays a role in the organization of the actin cytoskeleton by acting downstream of CDC42, inducing actin filament assembly. It alters CDC42-induced cell shape changes and may be involved in CDC42-mediated F-actin accumulation at the immunological synapse in activated T-cells. Additionally, CDC42SE1 may play a role in early contractile events during phagocytosis in macrophages.

CDC42SE1 is also known as SCIP1, SPEC1.
