CDC42EP3

Description

The CDC42EP3 (CDC42 effector protein 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.

Cdc42 effector protein 3 is a protein encoded by the CDC42EP3 gene in humans. It is part of the Borg family of CDC42 effector proteins, characterized by a CRIB domain. This protein binds to and negatively regulates the function of CDC42. It can interact with CDC42 and ARHQ/TC10. Expression of CDC42EP3 in fibroblasts leads to the formation of pseudopodia.

CDC42EP3 has been shown to interact with CDC42 and RHOQ.

CDC42EP3 is also known as BORG2, CEP3, UB1.
