TRiC is involved in the folding of WRAP53/TCAB1, which regulates telomere maintenance. It also potentially plays a role in the assembly of the BBSome complex, which is important for ciliogenesis and transport of vesicles to the cilia. Additionally, TRiC is involved in the folding of actin and tubulin.
