CCNL1

Description

The CCNL1 (cyclin L1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 3.

Cyclin-L1 is a protein encoded by the CCNL1 gene in humans. It is involved in pre-mRNA splicing and functions in association with cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs). CCNL1 is inhibited by the CDK-specific inhibitor CDKN1A/p21. It may play a role in the regulation of RNA polymerase II (pol II) and is a potential proto-oncogene in head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCC).

CCNL1 is involved in pre-mRNA splicing and interacts with cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), including CDK11A, CDK12, and CDK13. It is inhibited by the CDK-specific inhibitor CDKN1A/p21. CCNL1 may play a role in the regulation of RNA polymerase II (pol II) and is a potential proto-oncogene in head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCC).

CCNL1 is also known as ANIA6A, BM-001, PRO1073, ania-6a.
