CCDC26

Description

The CCDC26 (CCDC26 long non-coding RNA) is a ncRNA gene located on chromosome 8.

The CCDC26 gene provides instructions for making a protein called coiled-coil domain-containing protein 26. This protein is located in the cytoplasm, the fluid that fills the space between the cell's nucleus and its outer membrane. CCDC26 is thought to play a role in cell growth and development, but its exact function is still being studied.

CCDC26 is involved in the regulation of cellular processes, including cell growth and proliferation, and may play a role in the development of certain cancers. It localizes to the cytoplasm and interacts with other proteins involved in cell signaling pathways. The exact function of CCDC26 is not fully understood, but research suggests it may be involved in protein trafficking and the regulation of microtubule dynamics.

CCDC26 is also known as GLM7, RAM.
