CCDC102B

Description

The CCDC102B (coiled-coil domain containing 102B) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 18.

During interphase, CCDC102B forms fibers at the proximal ends of centrioles, maintaining centrosome cohesion. As mitosis commences, it dissociates from the centrosome after phosphorylation, enabling centrosome separation. Additionally, CCDC102B contributes to the formation of CROCC/rootletin filaments.

CCDC102B is also known as ACY1L, AN, C18orf14, HsT1731.
