CARD18

Description

The CARD18 (caspase recruitment domain family member 18) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

CARD18 (Caspase-1 inhibitor Iceberg) blocks the production of IL-1-beta by binding to caspase-1, which prevents caspase-1 from connecting with RIP2. This interaction also reduces the release of IL1B.

CARD18 is also known as ICEBERG, UNQ5804, pseudo-ICE.
