CAP2

Description

The CAP2 (cyclase associated actin cytoskeleton regulatory protein 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 6.

CAP2 (Adenylyl cyclase-associated protein 2) is an enzyme encoded by the CAP2 gene in humans. Its exact function is currently unknown, but it shows similarity to the gene for human adenylyl cyclase-associated protein (CAP1). CAP2 can interact with both CAP1 and actin, suggesting a potential role in cellular processes. However, the specific nature of this interaction and its consequences remain to be fully understood.

CAP2 may play a regulatory role with two distinct functions.

CAP2 is also known as CMD2I.
