CAMK1G

Description

The CAMK1G (calcium/calmodulin dependent protein kinase IG) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

CAMK1G, also known as CaM kinase I gamma or CaMK-like CREB kinase III, is part of a proposed calcium-triggered signaling pathway. It directly phosphorylates the transcription factor CREB1 in laboratory settings, suggesting a role in regulating gene expression.

CAMK1G is also known as CLICK3, CLICKIII, VWS1.
