Description

The C1ORF56 (chromosome 1 open reading frame 56) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

C1ORF56 is involved in the control of cellular proliferation and acts as an oncogenic modifier. It contributes to the tumor suppressor function of DNMT3B.

C1ORF56 is also known as MENT.
