BTBD10

Description

The BTBD10 (BTB domain containing 10) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

BTBD10 is a key activator of AKT family members. It achieves this by interfering with the dephosphorylation of AKTs, a process carried out by PPP2CA. This inhibition ensures that AKTs remain active. BTBD10 also plays a role in protecting motor neurons from death and in promoting the growth of pancreatic beta cells.

BTBD10 is also known as GMRP-1, GMRP1.
