BROX

Description

The BROX (BRO1 domain and CAAX motif containing) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 1.

BROX is a nuclear envelope-associated protein that plays a crucial role in the repair of nuclear envelope ruptures during interphase (NERDI). It is recruited to the rupture site by CHMP5 and helps reseal the membrane by reducing cytoskeletal stress through its interaction with SYN2.

BROX is also known as C1orf58.
