BRMS1L

Description

The BRMS1L (BRMS1 like transcriptional repressor) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 14.

BRMS1L plays a role in suppressing gene expression by interacting with HDAC1, a histone deacetylase. In lung cancer cells lacking the p53 tumor suppressor gene, overexpressing BRMS1L can slow down cell growth.

BRMS1L is also known as BRMS1, p40.
