BOLA2
Description
The BOLA2 (bolA family member 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.
BOLA2 acts as a cytosolic iron-sulfur (Fe-S) cluster assembly factor, facilitating the insertion of [2Fe-2S] clusters into a specific set of cytosolic proteins. This process occurs in collaboration with the monothiol glutaredoxin GLRX3.
