Hyderabad: The US-based ThinkGenetic has entered into a partnership with Hyderabad-based MapmyGenome, a personal genomics company specialising in clinical genomics and molecular diagnostics focused on preventive healthcare.
Through this collaboration, ThinkGenetic users from India will be able to connect more easily to resources closer to them.

ThinkGenetic co-founder and president, Len Barker says, “While we do not provide medical services ourselves and continue to be US-based, we are passionate about offering those living with a genetic condition access to the help they need wherever they are located.”
ThinkGenetic receives inquiries from users worldwide with their questions or concerns about living with genetic disorders. If appropriate for answering a question received from a user from India, the company will provide the user with a referral to board certified genetic counselors at MapmyGenome.
MapmyGenome CEO Anu Acharya, said, the company helps consumers, patients, and physicians with knowledge about genetics and genomics through genetic testing and genetic counseling services.
While most of the ThinkGenetic knowledge base is currently written in English and focuses on those in the US and Canada, it currently has visitors from over 170 countries and aims to increase the focus and reach to meet global needs.
ThinkGenetic locates individuals with diagnosed and undiagnosed genetic diseases using artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.
By combining genetic health profile and health history with genetic counseling, MapmyGenome provides actionable steps for individuals and their physicians towards a healthier life.
