Description

The BFAR (bifunctional apoptosis regulator) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 16.

The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) is a Philippine government agency under the Department of Agriculture responsible for managing and conserving the country's fisheries and aquatic resources. It was established in 1901 as a small agency called the Bureau of Government Laboratories. Over time, it evolved, merging with other divisions to become the Fish and Game Administration in 1933. BFAR's focus is on developing, improving, enforcing laws, and managing the sustainable use of the Philippines' aquatic resources.

BFAR is also known as BAR, RNF47.
