BAGE2

Description

The BAGE2 (BAGE family member 2 (pseudogene)) is a pseudo gene located on chromosome 21.

BAGE2, also known as BAG-2, is a gene that encodes a protein involved in cell survival and growth. It is a member of the BAG family of anti-apoptotic proteins, which are characterized by a conserved BAG domain that interacts with the Hsp70 chaperone protein. BAGE2 is thought to have a role in tumor progression and metastasis, and its expression is upregulated in some cancers.

BAGE2, also known as BAG-2, is a member of the BAG family of anti-apoptotic proteins. It is involved in cell survival, growth, and differentiation. BAGE2 interacts with and inhibits the activity of pro-apoptotic proteins, such as BAX and BAK. It has also been found to have a role in tumor progression and metastasis. In some cancers, BAGE2 expression is upregulated, contributing to resistance to apoptosis and promoting tumor growth.

BAGE2 is also known as CT2.2.
