ASB3

Description

The ASB3 (ankyrin repeat and SOCS box containing 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.

ASB3 is a protein encoded by the ASB3 gene in humans. It belongs to the ASB family of proteins, which have a special region called ankyrin repeat and a SOCS box domain. The SOCS box helps connect proteins with a complex called Elongin B and C, which may cause the proteins to be broken down. There are different versions of the ASB3 protein, but some of their full structures are unknown.

ASB3 is a component of a protein complex that tags proteins for degradation. It specifically targets the protein TNFRSF1B for degradation.

ASB3 is also known as ASB-3.
