ASB10

Description

The ASB10 (ankyrin repeat and SOCS box containing 10) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.

ASB10, a protein containing ankyrin repeats and a SOCS box, is thought to be a part of a protein complex called SCF-like ECS. This complex acts like a molecular tagger, attaching ubiquitin molecules to target proteins. This tagging signals the cell to break down the tagged protein, essentially removing it from the cell.

ASB10 is also known as GLC1F.
