ASAH2B

Description

The ASAH2B (N-acylsphingosine amidohydrolase 2B) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.

ASAH2B, also known as neutral ceramidase B, non-lysosomal ceramidase B, or N-acylsphingosine amidohydrolase (non-lysosomal ceramidase) 2B, is an enzyme encoded by the ASAH2B gene. Its levels decrease with age and are further reduced in late-onset Alzheimer's disease patients. The gene's location and details can be found on the UCSC Genome Browser.

ASAH2B is also known as ASAH2C, ASAH2L, bA449O16.3, bA98I6.3.
