ARID3B

Description

The ARID3B (AT-rich interaction domain 3B) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 15.

ARID3B is a protein encoded by the ARID3B gene in humans. It belongs to the ARID (AT-rich interaction domain) family of DNA-binding proteins. ARID3B is homologous to proteins that bind to the retinoblastoma gene product (RB1) and to mouse Bright and Drosophila dead ringer proteins. ARID family members are involved in various cellular processes, including embryonic development, cell lineage regulation, cell cycle control, transcriptional regulation, and possibly chromatin structure modification.

ARID3B is a transcription factor that may play a role in the growth and malignant transformation of neuroblastoma. It also promotes the localization of ARID3A to the nucleus.

ARID3B is also known as BDP, DRIL2.
