Description

The APOL6 (apolipoprotein L6) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 22.

Apolipoprotein L6 is a protein produced by the APOL6 gene in humans. It belongs to the apolipoprotein L gene family. This protein resides in the cytoplasm, where it may influence the transportation of lipids or enable the binding of lipids to cellular structures called organelles.

APOL6 is also known as APOL-VI, APOLVI.
