Description

The APOL4 (apolipoprotein L4) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 22.

APOL4 might be involved in the exchange and movement of lipids throughout the body. It could also be part of the process of reverse cholesterol transport, where cholesterol is moved from cells in the body to the liver.

APOL4 is also known as APOL-IV, APOLIV.
