Description
APOBEC3B-AS1 is a long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) located on chromosome 22. It is transcribed from the opposite strand of the APOBEC3B gene, which encodes a DNA cytosine deaminase involved in innate immunity. While APOBEC3B functions in viral restriction, APOBEC3B-AS1 exhibits a complex and multifaceted role, particularly in the context of cancer development.
