ANO9


Description

The ANO9 (anoctamin 9) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

ANO9 exhibits calcium-dependent phospholipid scramblase activity, scrambling phosphatidylserine, phosphatidylcholine, and galactosylceramide. It does not display calcium-activated chloride channel (CaCC) activity. ANO9 can inhibit the activity of ANO1.

ANO9 is also known as PIG5, TMEM16J, TP53I5.
