Description

The ANKRD49 (ankyrin repeat domain 49) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.

ANKRD49 induces the expression of the HBG1 gene, potentially playing a role in spermatogenesis by promoting autophagy in response to serum starvation through the NF-kappaB pathway.

ANKRD49 is also known as FGIF, GBIF.
