ANKRD33

Description

The ANKRD33 (ankyrin repeat domain 33) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.

Ankyrin repeat domain 33 is a protein produced by the ANKRD33 gene in humans.

This protein acts as a transcriptional repressor, specifically inhibiting the activity of CRX, a key regulator of gene expression in photoreceptor cells.

ANKRD33 is also known as C12orf7, PANKY.
