ANAPC15
Description
The ANAPC15 (anaphase promoting complex subunit 15) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 11.
ANAPC15 is a component of the anaphase-promoting complex/cyclosome (APC/C), a crucial enzyme complex that regulates the cell cycle. It plays a vital role in the release of the mitotic checkpoint complex (MCC) from the APC/C, which is essential for the proper progression through mitosis. While not directly involved in APC/C activity, ANAPC15 facilitates the turnover of CDC20 and MCC on the APC/C, thereby contributing to the spindle assembly checkpoint's responsiveness. It is also involved in the degradation of CDC20.
ANAPC15 is also known as APC15, C11orf51, HSPC020.
