AIFM3
Description
The AIFM3 (apoptosis inducing factor mitochondria associated 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 22.
Apoptosis-inducing factor, mitochondria-associated 3 is a protein encoded by the AIFM3 gene in humans.
AIFM3 promotes apoptosis through a caspase-dependent pathway. It also decreases mitochondrial membrane potential, likely contributing to the apoptotic process.
AIFM3 is also known as AIFL.
