AIF1L
Description
The AIF1L (allograft inflammatory factor 1 like) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.
AIF1L (Allograft inflammatory factor 1-like) is a protein produced by the AIF1L gene in humans. It is an actin-binding protein that promotes actin bundling, forming bundles of actin filaments. Notably, it may not bind calcium or depend on calcium for its function. AIF1L is predominantly expressed in the kidney (RPKM 130.1), spleen (RPKM 121.3), and eight other tissues.
AIF1L is also known as C9orf58, IBA2.
