AHSA1

Description

The AHSA1 (activator of HSP90 ATPase activity 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 14.

AHSA1 is an enzyme encoded by the AHSA1 gene in humans. It interacts with Heat shock protein 90kDa alpha (cytosolic), member A1.

AHSA1 acts as a co-chaperone for HSP90AA1, enhancing its chaperone activity by activating its ATPase activity. This interaction is regulated by competing with inhibitory co-chaperones like FNIP1 and TSC1 for binding to HSP90AA1, thereby controlling the chaperoning of client proteins.

AHSA1 is also known as AHA1, C14orf3, hAha1, p38.
