Description

The AGMO (alkylglycerol monooxygenase) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.

AGMO is a glyceryl-ether monooxygenase enzyme that breaks down ether lipids. Ether lipids are critical for brain function and make up a significant portion of brain cell membranes.

AGMO is also known as TMEM195.
