ADPRM

Description

The ADPRM (ADP-ribose/CDP-alcohol diphosphatase, manganese dependent) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.

ADPRM, a manganese-dependent enzyme, breaks down molecules like ADP-ribose, IDP-ribose, CDP-glycerol, CDP-choline, and CDP-ethanolamine. It is specific to these molecules and doesn't interact with other non-reducing ADP-sugars or CDP-glucose. This enzyme may play a role in immune cell signaling, as ADP-ribose acts as a messenger that activates TRPM2, a protein involved in responding to oxidative and nitrosative stress.

ADPRM is also known as C17orf48, MDS006, NBLA03831.
