ADM2

Description

The ADM2 (adrenomedullin 2) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 22.

ADM2 is a protein encoded by the ADM2 gene in humans. It belongs to a family of calcitonin-related peptide hormones that play crucial roles in regulating diverse physiological functions, including the chemical composition of fluids and tissues.

Adrenomedullin-2 (ADM2) may act as a physiological regulator in the gastrointestinal and cardiovascular systems. It exerts its effects through the CALCRL/RAMPs receptor complexes and activates the cAMP-dependent pathway.

ADM2 is also known as AM2, dJ579N16.4.
