TRAPPC14

Description

The TRAPPC14 (trafficking protein particle complex subunit 14) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.

TRAPPC14 is a subunit of the TRAPP II complex, a vesicle tethering complex involved in late Golgi trafficking. TRAPP II has GEF activity towards RAB1A. TRAPPC14 is not essential for the TRAPP II complex but plays a role in trafficking RAB3IP preciliary vesicles to the mother centriole during ciliogenesis. It also regulates YAP1 activity as a transcriptional regulator.

TRAPPC14 is also known as C7orf43, MAP11, MCPH25.
