RINT1

Description

The RINT1 (RAD50 interactor 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 7.

RAD50-interacting protein 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the RINT1 gene.

== Interactions == RINT1 has been shown to interact with Rad50 and ZW10.

RINT1 plays a role in regulating membrane traffic between the Golgi apparatus and the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). This function is thought to depend on RINT1's association with the NRZ complex, which is believed to be involved in SNARE assembly at the ER. RINT1 might also contribute to cell cycle checkpoint control and is essential for maintaining telomere length.

RINT1 is also known as ILFS3, RINT-1.
