NUP155

Description

The NUP155 (nucleoporin 155) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

Nup155 is a human protein encoded by the NUP155 gene. It is a nucleoporin, a protein that is a component of the nuclear pore complex (NPC). NPCs are essential structures that control the movement of molecules between the nucleus and cytoplasm. While most nucleoporins contain FG repeat sequences, Nup155 does not. Two protein isoforms of Nup155 are produced from different transcript variants of the NUP155 gene.

NUP155 is also known as ATFB15, N155.
