Description
The MSRB3 (methionine sulfoxide reductase B3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.
MSRB3 catalyzes the reduction of both free and protein-bound methionine sulfoxide back to methionine. A specific isoform, isoform 2, is crucial for maintaining normal hearing.
