MPDZ

Description

The MPDZ (multiple PDZ domain crumbs cell polarity complex component) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 9.

Multiple PDZ domain protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the MPDZ gene. MPDZ has been shown to interact with: 5-HT2C receptor, CD117, and PLEKHA1.

MPDZ is a component of the NMDAR signaling complex, potentially regulating AMPAR potentiation and synaptic plasticity in excitatory synapses. It promotes the clustering of HT2RC at the cell surface.

MPDZ is also known as HYC2, MUPP1.
