MPDU1

Description

The MPDU1 (mannose-P-dolichol utilization defect 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 17.

The MPDU1 gene in humans codes for the Mannose-P-dolichol utilization defect 1 protein.

The MPDU1 protein is essential for the efficient use of mannose-dolichol phosphate (Dol-P-Man) in the creation of N-linked and O-linked oligosaccharides, as well as GPI anchors.

MPDU1 is also known as CDGIF, HBEBP2BPA, Lec35, My008, PP3958, PQLC5, SL15, SLC66A5.
