MFF

Description

The MFF (mitochondrial fission factor) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 2.

MFF can refer to the human gene Mitochondrial fission factor.

MFF is involved in the fission of mitochondria and peroxisomes, promoting the recruitment of dynamin-related protein 1 (DNM1L) to the mitochondrial surface. It may also play a role in regulating synaptic vesicle membrane dynamics by recruiting DNM1L to clathrin-containing vesicles.

MFF is also known as C2orf33, EMPF2, GL004.
