LBX1

Description

The LBX1 (ladybird homeobox 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.

LBX1 is a protein encoded by the LBX1 gene. This gene, along with its orthologous mouse gene, was discovered due to its homology to the Drosophila lady bird early and late homeobox genes. In mice, LBX1 is a key regulator of muscle precursor cell migration and is required for the acquisition of dorsal identities of forelimb muscles.

LBX1 is also known as CCHS3, HPX-6, HPX6, LBX1H, homeobox.
