Description
The HGF gene, encoding Hepatocyte Growth Factor, plays a critical role in tissue regeneration and repair. HGF is a powerful growth factor that promotes cell proliferation, migration, and survival, primarily in the liver, but also in various other organs. It acts through its receptor, c-Met, initiating intracellular signaling cascades that drive tissue remodeling and repair.
