FYB1

Description

The FYB1 (FYN binding protein 1) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 5.

FYB1 acts as an adapter protein in the FYN and LCP2 signaling pathways in T-cells, potentially linking T-cell signaling to actin cytoskeleton remodeling. It may also modulate IL2 expression and be involved in platelet activation. FYB1 prevents the degradation of SKAP1 and SKAP2 and may play a role in high affinity immunoglobulin epsilon receptor signaling in mast cells.

FYB1 is also known as ADAP, FYB, PRO0823, SLAP-130, SLAP130, THC3.
