FGD4

Description

The FGD4 (FYVE, RhoGEF and PH domain containing 4) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 12.

FGD4 is a human protein encoded by the FGD4 gene. It is a FYVE, RhoGEF, and PH domain-containing protein.

FGD4 activates CDC42, a protein involved in cell signaling, by replacing GDP with GTP. This action influences the actin cytoskeleton, which is responsible for cell shape and movement. FGD4 also activates MAPK8, another signaling protein, suggesting a role in cellular communication.

FGD4 is also known as CMT4H, FRABP, ZFYVE6.
