DNMBP

Description

The DNMBP (dynamin binding protein) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 10.

DNMBP acts as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) for CDC42, influencing various intracellular processes involving the actin and microtubule cytoskeleton. It regulates the structure of apical junctions in epithelial cells by organizing F-actin, participates in normal epithelial cell cyst lumenogenesis through spindle orientation regulation, and plays a role in ciliogenesis. Additionally, it may be involved in membrane trafficking between the cell surface and the Golgi.

DNMBP is also known as ARHGEF36, CTRCT48, TUBA.
