DNAAF3

Description

The DNAAF3 (dynein axonemal assembly factor 3) is a protein-coding gene located on chromosome 19.

DNAAF3 plays a crucial role in assembling the inner and outer dynein arms within the axoneme, the structural core of cilia. It facilitates the preassembly of dynein proteins into functional complexes prior to their transport into cilia.

DNAAF3 is also known as C19orf51, CILD2, DAB1, PCD, PF22.
